Vegan Chocolate Avocado Pie is a healthy, no-bake dessert that is fulfilling and satisfying dessert. This recipe for Avocado Pie is Sugar-free, Dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, and vegan-friendly.

It's my favorite Sugar-Free Dessert. I've used Monk-Fruit Sweetener for the Chocolate Avocado Mousse and Mejdool Dates for the crust as a substitute for refined sugar.

Don't miss - Sugar-Free Avocado Bread, Vegan Chocolate Chess Pie and my favorite Flourless Red Velvet Protein Brownies (sugar-free).

Best Avocado Pie Recipe

I love this recipe for Vegan Chocolate Avocado Pie. It's creamy, nutty, chocolaty, and just what you need after a full-balanced meal to satiate your sugar cravings.

The creamy avocado mousse has a nutty melt-in-your-mouth texture. Coconut cream adds a mildly sweet and distinct coconut flavor to the pie.

Healthy Chocolate Avocado Pie no bake

Avocado is very healthy. It's rich in good fat. But, using Avocado in a dessert - one would typically think of sweetening it with cream cheese or evaporated milk. Then you'd see them topping it with whipped cream for added taste and flavor.

But, I bet this avocado pie will be the most easiest and most loved Avocado dessert for all.

Even those who don't mind sugar in their desserts will fall in love with this No Bake Avocado Pie.

5 Reasons why No Bake Avocado Pie is worth it:

  1. Easiest way to whip up a healthy dessert.
  2. Avocado pairs really well with chocolate. In this case, the Avocado Mousse is creamy, velvety, decadent, and soul-satisfying.
  3. This recipe for Avocado Pie is free of any added refined-sugar.
  4. This is a No Bake Pie so you don't have to worry about your kitchen getting hot because of 45-minutes or more of baking.
  5. This is definitely the healthiest pie withour compromising on the taste. It's dairy-free, sugar-free, gluten-free but still it's worth every single bite.

Ingredients for vegan chocolate avocado pie

Chocolate Almond Crust

  • Almonds - I've used raw whole almonds. You can use roasted almonds or roasted and salted almonds if you want the crust to be mildly salty.
  • Dates - This recipe uses Medjool Dates to sweeten the pie crust.
  • Shredded Unsweetened Coconut - Since it's a sugar-free recipe, I've used unsweetened organic shredded coconut. You can use sweetened shredded coconut if you want.
  • Natural Unsweetened Cacao Powder - I love using unsweetened cacao powder.
  • Organic Coconut Oil - Use organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined extra-virgin coconut oil.

Avocado Mousse

  • Avocado - I love buying fresh avocados from my nearest farmer's market. They sell the best organic avocados and at a reasonable price.
  • Natural Unsweetened Cacao Powder
  • Unsweetened Coconut Cream - Make sure it's gluten free, dairy free, and contains Coconut, Water, and guar Gum.
  • Monk Fruit Sweetener - This can be replaced with Pure Maple Syrup or Xylitol, or erythritol.

Topping (optional)

  • Chopped Pistachio Nuts [optional]

How to Make keto avocado chocolate pie?

  • Step 1: Make the Pie crust

In a food processor or a countertop blender, combine almonds, Medjool dates, shredded coconut, cacao powder, and coconut oil. Blend until smooth.

  • Step 2: Press down on the Pie dish

Press down on the pie dish. I have used a quiche or tart pan with a removable bottom. You can also use a 9-inch deep dish pan.

  • Step 3: Make Avocado Mousse

Combine avocados, cacao powder, coconut cream, and monk fruit sweetener in a food processor or countertop blender.

  • Step 4: Pour Mousse over the Pie Crust

Pour Avocado Mousse over the pie crust. Use an offset spatula to spread the mousse evenly over the pie crust.

  • Step 5: Refrigerate the Pie until sets

Refrigerate the pie for 20-25 minutes or until sets.

  • Step 6: Serve

Add your favorite toppings. I used chopped roasted and salted pistachios. You can use coconut cream with chocolate shavings for more flavor and taste.

Is coconut cream ok for vegans?

Coconut cream is often used to add richness, creaminess, and nuttiness to vegan desserts. It's naturally dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free. Therefore, it adds a smooth coconut taste to the dessert.

I replaced the almonds with walnuts because of allergies. The crust was too sticky. The moose was tasteless. I had to triple the amount of monk fruit and add vanilla but it only became a 3.5 star.

Oh, thanks so much for giving the recipe a try and sharing your feedback! 🌿 I’m sorry it didn’t quite turn out the way you hoped. The walnuts might’ve made the crust stickier since they release a bit more oil than almonds when blended, and that can definitely affect the texture.

As for the mousse, avocados can vary a lot in flavor and ripeness, and sometimes a slightly underripe avocado can make the filling taste flat. The sweetness level also depends on the brand and strength of monk fruit sweetener used (some are much milder). A touch of vanilla, sea salt, or even espresso powder usually helps bring out the chocolate flavor more deeply.

I really appreciate your notes. I’ll definitely add a few of these tips so others can adjust to taste! 💚

This is not a low carb, keto friendly dessert! Dates are not high in carbs! But sounds delicious!

Thank you for pointing that out! I appreciate the correction—dates are indeed high in natural sugars. I’ll add a note to the recipe suggesting a nut-only crust for those who need to stay under a strict daily carb limit. I’m glad the flavor still appeals to you!
