30 Halloween Decor farmhouse style which are minimal and neutral

Jul 23, 2023 8 Comments

Halloween is just around the corner. One of the things which I love about halloween is the decorations. Starting from Indoor halloween decorations, Halloween outdoor decorations, Porch decor, to Halloween party decor its all just so much fun.

This Halloween I decided on doing something different. Rather than going on the usual Halloween decor which is spooky and frightful, I thought about and halloween decor which is neutral and minimal. If you are anything like me and love Minimal Halloween decor, then you will defiantly love these Halloween decor farmhouse styles. They are simple, minimal and neutral. Also these aren't overly spooky and eerie. They are muted, neutral and modern which gives them a classy and sophisticated feel to them.

Farmhouse style Halloween Decorations

Farmhouse Halloween Decor

Halloween entryway

This Halloween entryway has it all. Its simple, minimal and done just to perfection. It just uses some simple artificial spiders which are easily available. It uses a dried twig in the form of a small but classy wreath which I love along with that hanging broom.

DIY Decor with carved Pumpkin

All you need is to carve out a pumpkin in this shape. Top it up with any hat. Also add some dried fall twigs to make this centrepiece.

Its actually really easy to make. You can use a White Jack O Lantern and top it with a jute witch hat.

If you want to know how to make a Jute Hat, you can try that as well. It makes for a fun rustic little hat.

So either grab a premade hat base or you can use cardboard as well. First measure the circulfrance of the Jack o Lantern and then make a hat base. Next bend the cardboard which you're using and secure the ends using glue to make the cone. To make the brim, make a small cone using the same step and glue it to the top of the hat, sideways.

Next use Jute. You can either use Jute Fabric or Jute Twine. So start by cutting out the Jute into small strips so that it becomes easier for you to work with them. Wrap it around the hat, start from the base reaching to the top using glue. Make sure its slightly overlapping. And then once it dries out, it will be ready.

Fall Mantel Decor

This simple Fall Mantel decor is just perfect decor idea for october. Some artificial Maple leaves, a classy but gorgeous porcelain Black Cat and some Harry Potter styled Large black hats. Super simple, minimal but loud in its own way!

Cosy Halloween Corner

If you are like me and love making an Aesthetic halloween corner for your home, you will absolutely love this idea.

How about a Halloween Tree

This perfect Halloween tree uses a black colored Christmas tree. It uses some Green, Orange and Purple ornaments along with a carved out Pumpkin as a tree topper. What makes this stand out as a Halloween Farmhouse decor is the neutral backdrop.

Black and White Halloween Tree

This Black and White Halloween Tree is so cute. I love how you can use a White colored Christmas Tree and totally transform it with some black ornaments for Halloween.

Perfect Halloween Corner

I am all about some cosy corners when it comes to decor. I just love the idea of a simple and neutral backdrop but a starking contrast to it with a statement corner decor and this one has it all.

Halloween Staircase decor

This Halloween themed Staircase decor looks so good. It uses some very minimal warm white lights along with some carved out pumpkins.

DIY Halloween Tree

This dried Halloween Tree, stole my heart. I just love how you can use simple things like a dried plant or a dried tree or shrub which you can easily find around your house. Use black acrylic paint to paint it, add some plastic artificial Ravens for a spooky look and finish off with a Trick or Treat sign.

Halloween kitchen island

The moment I saw this Halloween Kitchen Island idea, I kew I had to do it. It just looks super spooky and just amazing. I love how you can use candle stands and top it up with some Witch Hats and carved out pumpkins to make a perfect Halloween show piece.

Perfect Halloween shelf on the wall

Rae Dunn Halloween pottery is just perfect for a minimal Halloween decor. Its got its own charm to it which makes it just perfect.

Rae dunn Halloween display

Halloween display has to be something which stands out. i love a perfect Farmhouse halloween decor which uses some Rae Dunn cookeries, along with some knic knacks which you can use.

Halloween kitchen decor

This is one of my absolute favourite Halloween decor. All you need is some ceramic hands which you can add into any Halloween themed mason jars which you will love to use for your Halloween decor.

Halloween Kitchen Counter

I just love this cute little Spooky Kitchen Corner. You can have these Halloween printed Mason Jars and Spatulas and just add some ceramic hands for a spooky effect!

DIY Halloween Ghosts for living room

I just loved this idea. All you need is some white Jute bags and drape it around Sand bags to DIY these adorable little Halloween ghosts. They are really easy to make and will make your Home Halloween Decor stand out. You can even reuse old wine bottles, add a balloon over it. Now use cheesecloth dipped in 1 portion of glue and two portions of water and drape over the balloon and wine bottle. Add black colored eyes cut out and tie it up with a jute rope. To make it even more fun, you can add some cute name tags to these DOY Living room Ghosts for your decor.

Halloween web plate dinner table

You can use Web Plate table mats and decorate a dinner table for it. Also you can get dollar tree Halloween decor items to decorate.

Halloween entryway

An entryway is just the kind of statement you want to make for Halloween decor. Its super easy to DIY and also looks cute.

Adorable Halloween decor

This Halloween decor looks stellar. Its got a very minimal approach to its decor. It uses sticker Bats along with a ceramic skeleton just for the effect which looks super spooky and just perfect Halloween decor.

Neutral Halloween decor

I just really love this neural themed decor for Halloween. Its super spooky and while its not too spooky and frightful, it just looks perfect for October living room decor.

Halloween centerpiece

Making a white Jack-o’-Lantern can be a unique and spooky twist on the classic orange pumpkin. Whether you want it for Halloween decor or a fall celebration, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you craft your own ghostly Jack-o’-Lantern which is neutral and perfect centerpiece for Halloween decor...!

Materials Needed:

  • White Pumpkin (real or faux)
  • Carving Tools (like a pumpkin carving kit or a serrated knife)
  • Black Paint (or a permanent marker)
  • Paintbrushes (if using paint)
  • A Spoon or Scoop (for cleaning out the pumpkin)
  • Candle or LED Light (for illumination)
  • Optional: White Paint (for extra whiteness or touch-ups)

Instructions:

1. Choose and Prepare Your Pumpkin

  1. Select a Pumpkin: Find a white pumpkin at a local farm or store. These can be naturally white or painted. You can also use a faux pumpkin if you prefer something that will last longer.
  2. Clean the Pumpkin: Wash the pumpkin with water to remove any dirt. Dry it thoroughly.

2. Prepare the Pumpkin

  1. Cut the Top: Use a serrated knife or pumpkin carving tool to cut a circle around the stem. Remove the top and set it aside.
  2. Scoop Out the Inside: Use a spoon or scoop to remove the seeds and pulp from inside the pumpkin. Scrape the walls to make them smooth.

3. Design Your Jack-o’-Lantern

  1. Sketch Your Design: Lightly sketch your design on the pumpkin’s surface with a pencil. Traditional Jack-o’-Lantern faces work great, but you can also go for something more unique or spooky.
  2. Carve the Pumpkin: Carefully carve out your design using a pumpkin carving kit or a serrated knife. Take your time to ensure clean cuts and details.

4. Paint for Extra Effect (Optional)

  1. White Paint: If you want a brighter white, you can paint the pumpkin with a layer of white paint. This step is optional if your pumpkin is already white and you’re happy with its appearance.

5. Display Your Jack-o’-Lantern

  1. Find the Perfect Spot: Place your white Jack-o’-Lantern where it can be seen and enjoyed. It looks great on the centertable. You can use any wooden tray or old wooden plants to display it.
  2. Illuminate: When it gets dark, light up your pumpkin and watch it glow with an eerie, ghostly effect.

Tips for Success:

  • Experiment: Try different faces or patterns to see what looks best with your white pumpkin.
  • Preservation: To help your pumpkin last longer, you can apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or Varnish on the carved areas to prevent them from drying out.

Hope you enjoy crafting your white Jack-o’-Lantern, and have loads of fun creating a spooky yet elegant Halloween decoration! 🎃👻

Neutral Halloween Decor

Farmhouse Mantel decor

To make these rope ghosts all you need is some white Ropes and a cardboard cut into semi circle shape like that of ghosts. Now add glue on the cardboard and place the ropes one below other. use any black coloured fabric or cloth or even a black colored paper will work to make the eyes. The lower ends just untagle the rope to get the frizzy effect and its done.

DIY Halloween Mummy

DIY Halloween Ghost

Welcome your trick or treaters with this easy and cute Ghost which looks absolutely stunning. You can use any ghost mounting frame like pvc pipes, or use a tomato cage for the base, add pool noodles for the hands and a balloon on top or a ball on top for the head of the ghost. Use regular bandages along with PVA glue. Dip the bandage into the glue and drape over the ghost structure. Use black coloured paper or black fabric to make the eyes and mouth and its done.
