Jalapeño Peach Chicken

Jalapeño Peach Chicken - a balance of sweet, spicy, and all other savory flavors in a one single dish. Peach Chicken has always been my favorite thing to cook for summers, especially during Summer cookouts or tailgate parties.

Peaches are my favorite summer fruit. Mildly sweet, they go really well with juicy, succulent chicken thighs or chicken breasts.

Smothered in a sweetish and lightly spicy Homemade Peach Glaze and topped with fresh Jalapeños, they make for an excellent dinner that you'd want to try today!

If you ask me, In my home Jalapeño Peach Chicken gets more votes than Jalapeño Peach Jam.

Baked Chicken Recipe with Peach preserves

Well You can make your Baked Chicken breast with Peach preserves. And, there is certainly no doubt about it, that it'll be good. In fact, You should see this recipe as well where I've used canned peach preserves. Instant Pot Peach Chicken in Honey Balsamic Sauce

But for this Recipe, I'm gonna be using Fresh Peaches right from my farm. No additives, No preservatives. Simple fresh Peaches with juicy healthy Chicken breasts.

Peach Jalapeño Glazed Chicken Thighs

This particular recipe for Peach Jalapeño Glazed Chicken uses Chicken Breasts instead of Chicken thighs. I find chicken breasts a leaner option. A healthier option.

But, feel free to go for chicken thighs if you like them. I'm sure Chicken Thighs tastes Juicier.

Roasted Peach Chicken Recipe

Roasted Peach Chicken is a separate recipe which doesn't include the Jalapeños. In fact, it's on my list. And, I'm gonna make it next. If you're a fan or Recipe Magik stay tuned because the recipe for Roasted Peach Chicken is gonna come soon.

Ingredients for Jalapeño Peach Chicken

  1. Peach Preserves - I prefer homemade Peach preserve because, it's always better than a store-bought one. I've always used Natasha's Kitchen Country Peach preserve recipe to make one and it has never disappointed me.
  2. Peaches - You should make fresh Peaches your #1 choice. But, if you cannot find the same, go with frozen peaches or canned peaches. You'll need one can (drained) of canned Peach slices or
  3. Apple Cider Vinegar - Fresh apple cider vinegar increases the acidic profile of this dish and contributes to a mort tarty and tangy flavor.
  4. Chicken - Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts is my go-to while making Jalapeño Peach chicken. However, some prefer it with Chicken thighs which is completely fine and tastes amazing. However, keep in mind that with chicken thighs the cooking time needs to be adjusted.
  5. Jalapeño Peppers - Not spicy like "Spicy 🥵" but spicy which can be like "Oooh... That's Good!" Jalapeño Peppers are hotter and spicer if you go with the ones which are older and whiter in color. The smooth green ones are the young ones which might not be "that spicy".

Is Jalapeño Peach Chicken really Spicy?

YES. Jalapeño Peach Chicken is Spicy. Not for the ones with a weak heart. 😀 jus kiddin' As I said, Jalapeño Peach Chicken is spicy, but not that Spicy that you can't have it. It's a sort of Spicy Chicken Dinner where you'll be enjoying the heat. You'll be like - Man, I just love the kick of Jalapeños. (even if you only add one with the seeds)

How Do I Store Jalapeño Peach Chicken?

Allow the Jalapeño peach chicken to cool down at room temperature before transferring it to the freezer or fridge. This should take 2 hours or more depending on the climate outside.

Refrigerator Storage - This Jalapeño Peach Chicken will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.

Freezer - When you want to store your Jalapeño Peach Chicken for a longer duration say for 2-3 months, then you've got to transfer it in a freezer-friendly bag. Squeeze out as much air as possible to prevent any freezer burn. Label the container and freeze it for up to 2-3 months.

Reheating and Serving - Reheating Jalapeño Peach Chicken is very easy. When you want to reheat thaw it in the refrigerator overnight. You can reheat it in the skillet, in the microwave or in the oven until heated through.
